Interactive Window Shopping
August 13, 2006 – 10:13

The Story: The people Ralph Lauren decided it was time for window shopping to become more intuitive and interactive. The idea came from Ralph Lauren's son and was inspired by the computer technology in Minority Report. The input of the window shopping program is controlled by wires inbedding into the glass that desinated where a finger it. Through this program, person can shop/browse through the Ralph Lauren inventory, buy items and have them shipped to an address of their choosing.
My Opinion: Use you home computer. I have a feeling this idea is going belly up, but not right away. It seems cool to use once but once a person understands they could do the same thing from home this "window shopping" will become unused. Why would you want to stand outside the store when you could walk right in, especially in the winter? Sorry Ralph Lauren, its a good idea and I bet it was loads of fun to develop it, but its just not practical.
